As many of you will remember, in 2017 the district approved a calendar for the 2017-2018 school year which breached several clauses of our Collective Agreement. The Local filed a grievance and CTA President Ed Klettke attended an arbitration hearing at the end of February 2019. Both sides decided to work towards a settlement. Through this process we have reached an agreement which will help facilitate future calendar discussions.
For the 2019-2020 school year, the CTA and the district have agreed to a two week Spring Break with two paid Pro-D Days for TTOCs. The CTA and the district will be meeting to discuss amendments to the calendar to include assessment and reporting days.
