Reid Clark,

School and Teaching Position: McCammon Elementary (Grade 3/4)

Years in the CTA Office: 7

Roles with the CTA: President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Local Bargaining Chairperson, Social Justice Chairperson

About me: My journey with the CTA began when I started attending union meetings and events, drawn to the strong social justice values upheld by both the CTA and BCTF. That passion for advocacy quickly grew into a deep commitment to supporting our members and championing public education. In 2018, I made the difficult decision to step away from my teaching position to become the first fully-released 2nd Vice President. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside inspiring colleagues and mentors. At the heart of my role is a steadfast dedication to member support—whether it’s advocating for fair working conditions, improved mental health resources, professional development opportunities, or stronger protections for teachers. I’m grateful for the vital services our union provides and the opportunity to help strengthen our public education system.
